Rune Study Group
We are going to be studying the Runes, two at a time, going over the rune poems and meanings of the runes both traditional and divinatory.
This is a study group which will meet on the second Tuesday once a month from 7:30-9 p.m. starting Oct. 8, 2013. (We have had to push the start date back from Sept to Oct.; please note the new start date in now Oct. 8th.) You can join in at any time. We will conclude each class with a rune meditation or ceremony to connect with that rune.
While you need not be Norse or Pagan to attend the study group; there is a Norse basis to the runes and the poems so you will be learning about the history of the runes and some information about various Norse Gods and Goddesses as they relate to the runes.
Other future subjects will include traditional materials for runes, making your own set, creating bind runes and we will be chanting runes in class.
Study group is $10 for members, $15 for non-members
The group will be led by Laurie Hull, who has a degree in Education and has practiced the runes and various forms of divination for over 20 years.
